Academic Degrees
IMPORTANT NOTICE - Not
all HCC Degree and Certificate Programs are offered through
Distance Education. After reviewing your desired degree program,
please check the
distance education course schedule to determine if any or all
of the classes on your plan are offered through Distance
Education. Please contact the distant education
counselor if you need assistance.
The
Associate in Arts and
Associate in Science degrees can give you a good start
before transferring to a four-year university. These academic
degrees provide a solid foundation through a traditional liberal
arts education. Studies include the humanities, social sciences,
communication, mathematics and science. The liberal arts develop
critical and analytic skills demanded by constantly changing
environments. After you transfer to a four-year university, you
may concentrate in a major area of study during your junior and
senior years.
