The Associate in Arts - AA and Associate in Science - AS degrees are intended primarily for students planning to transfer to a senior college or university to earn a bachelors degree.

Associate in Arts - AA (PDF)

• If you would like to earn a bachelors degree in education, social sciences, humanities, or fine arts, the AA degree will offer the liberal arts courses necessary for these fields of study.

Associate in Science - AS (PDF)

• However, if you would like to earn a bachelors degree in the following areas: computer science, engineering, health and natural sciences, or mathematics, the AS degree will provide a heavier emphasis in math and science courses.

Several courses in the AA and AS are unavailable through the HCC DE Program, however, they may be available through other institutions and transferred back to HCC. Moreover, cooperative education courses contain special requirements.
