Career Center – Registration Calendars for HCC Semester Credit Hour (SCH) Courses

DE Semesters include Regular Start and Flex Entry.

Regular Start (Regular Term)

  • Fall and Spring Terms
    • 16-week courses
  • Summer Term
    • 10-week courses

Flex Entry

Flex-entry courses are semester hour courses offered at times other than the regular term. They begin after the Official Date of Record for the term and may be held for varying numbers of weeks, but total instructional hours are the same as those in regular terms. Grades earned in flex-entry courses become part of the cumulative GPA.

    No, the HCC DE Program does not offer courses during the mini-terms. However, check with a DE Counselor/Advisor for recent changes.

    One of the best ways to find out the duration of the course, start and end dates is through the online annual schedule of classes guide.

How to View Schedule of Classes Per Semester
To view schedule of classes, start at the HCC Homepage: http://www.hccs.edu/
  1. Click on “View Schedule”
     
  2. Click on “Semester Credit”
     
  3. Click on “View Schedule of Classes”
     
  4. Choose the semester and year.
    • (Select SCH – if you want to enroll in college-credit level HCC Distance Education courses.)
       
  5. Subject Area
    • Enter the subject or click on the “Lookup” button next to the subject area.
       
  6. Catalog Number
  7. Classes Open for Enrollment Only
    • Place a check mark.
       
  8. College
    • Leave blank
       
  9. Location
    • Distance Education (for Internet based or video based courses)
       
  10. Session
    • Leave blank
       
  11. Class Days
    • Leave blank
       
  12. Search Button
    • click the yellow search button located at the bottom of the page
       
    The courses available for enrollment will populate the screen.
     
    • Verify course and mode of instruction.
    • Seats available are shown on the top right hand side of screen.
    • Verify the start date.
    • Read class notes for special instructions.
