CHANGE OF ADDRESS / NAME:
Forms are available at each campus for students who need to change
their name and or address. NOTE: If your address change results in
a new residency status, you must file a petition for residency
change (with documentation) before you qualify for the new
residency rate.
CLASS CATALOG:
View HCC Catalog. Printed copies are available for $3.00 at any HCC
Bookstore. There is a $5.00 charge to have a
catalog mailed. Requests for mailing should include a check or
money order and be sent to:

CLASS SCHEDULE:
View HCC Schedule. Printed copies are available for $1.00 at any HCC
Bookstore. There is a $ 5.00 charge to have a
schedule mailed. Requests for mailing should include a check or

CLEP/AP/DEPARTMENT EXAMS:
Official scores must be sent to the Office of Student Records from
the testing agency. Scores are posted to the HCC record after
completion of 6 hours at HCC. Department exams are arranged
through the instructional department and follow the same rules
above. Information is available at the testing office at each
college.
ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION:
Students needing enrollment certifications for insurance, loan
deferments, etc. may request a form to be completed any HCC
center or at the Administration Building at 3100 Main. Requests
made at 3100 Main may be picked up twenty-four hours after the
request is received.
EXTERNAL CREDIT/ADVANCED
STANDING:
Student should petition for credit at the instructional department
at the college. Credit will not be awarded until the student
completes 12 hours at HCC and is not posted to the HCC record
until the student applies for graduation.
GRADES:
Grades are available via the Internet within one week after the
last final exam. Exact dates are published in the class
schedule.

GRADUATION:
Diplomas for students who file for graduation by the deadline:
Fall = October 15, Spring = February 15, Summer = June 15 will receive their diplomas
within one month after the end of their completion term.
Students should visit with a counselor at the HCC location where
their degree plan was filed to apply for graduation. Duplicates or replacements may be requested for fifteen dollars
($15).
REGISTRATION:
Once a student has completed
admission process, registration
can be completed on-line or at the published HCC sites during the
registration period.
REVIEW STUDENT RECORDS:
Students wishing to review their records may do so by completing a
written request at the Office of Student Records at 3100 Main
during regular office hours.
TRANSCRIPTS:
Official transcripts may be ordered via the web, by telephone, by
mail or in person. Official transcripts cost $7.00 per copy if
ordered via the web, $5.00 per copy if ordered by mail or in
person and $12.00 for phone orders. Transcripts ordered via the
web or telephone are generally mailed within 1 to 3 business
days from the day the order is received while transcripts
ordered by mail are usually sent within 5 to 7 business days
following receipt of the order.
Transcripts will not be released
until all holds at the institution have been cleared.

Houston Community College has chosen the services of Credentials
Inc. in order to provide a web-based transcript service.
Credentials Inc. has implemented Transcript PlusŪ as a secure
means of ordering transcripts faster and easier than in the
past. To order over the Internet, go to
www.degreecheck.com. Cost is $7.00 per transcript. A faxed
signature is required before your order can be processed.

(available 7:00 am to 7:00 pm CST M-Th, Fridays 7:00 am to
5:00pm CST)
To place an order by telephone, call 1-800-646-1858. Cost is
$7.00 per transcript plus an operator assisted handling fee of
$5.00 per call.

Both the Internet and telephone options provide for the
opportunity to check the status of your order.
Click here to check status. You will need to know your order
number and social security number or Student ID in order to
retrieve your information.
To order by mail
Complete a
transcript order form or provide a letter including the
following information: Student name, assigned student number or
social security number, birth date, area code and phone number,
current address, email address (if available), approximate last
date of attendance, quantity and name and address where
transcripts are to be sent. Cost is $5.00 per transcript.
Turnaround time is 5-7 business days once the order has been
received.
To order in person
To order in person, go to the Registration Office at any HCC
campus or the Registrar’s Office at the Administration Building
at 3100 Main. Cost is $5.00 per transcript.
To pick up in person
You may order and pick up a copy of your official transcript at
any of the following locations. Cost is $5.00 per transcript.
Transcripts are released only to the person named on the HCC
record and valid identification is required. If you are
picking up a transcript for someone else, you must have a signed
release from the student and valid identification available at
time of request.

TRANSFER CREDIT:
The official transcripts from other colleges are maintained in the
Office of Student Records. Copies are released only to counselors
for advising purposes. Credit is awarded and posted to the HCC
record only after a student files for graduation.
