Scholarships.

We hope that the information provided at this scholarship web site will be helpful for students who want to apply for scholarships at HCC, as well as students who have already received private scholarships.

Access to Scholarship Money - The funding for all of the scholarships, which have applications at this web site, is set up electronically as a credit account in the computer. The scholarship recipient can draw from this account to pay for classes when enrolling. No award checks are sent to the recipient.

The scholarship website contains many links enabling you to download applications. This site is divided into the following sections:

Helpful Hints for Applicants - is just that! We hope that the suggestions made in this section will be helpful information of what to keep in mind as you prepare your scholarship application to ensure that it represents you in the best possible light.

External Private Scholarships - This section is designed to give information about how the process of accessing scholarship money works at HCC to students who have received a private scholarship from a funding source outside of HCC.

Instructions for Americorps Recipients - Many individuals participating in the Americorps Program choose to use their benefits at HCC. This link gives instructions for setting up Americorps Program accounts at HCC for the Americorp scholarship recipients.

Internal HCC Scholarships - is divided into sections. The first section is a listing of all scholarships that are available for use at any campus within the HCC System, including a brief statement of the minimum eligibility requirements needed to apply. The second section lists all of the five colleges (Central, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast and Southwest) and any scholarships that have been established by donors who specified that it be used at a particular college, or in a specific program that is managed by that college.

If you see a scholarship for which you meet the basic requirements, and you would like more information, all you need to do is to click onto the name of the scholarship (highlighted in blue) and you will be linked to the complete information and the application form for that scholarship.
